Beautiful, antique house blessing. These boards with a saying in old German script used to hang in farmhouses and were called house blessings. The saying was supposed to be a good blessing for the house. "At home in the quiet house, far from the noises of the world, the blessings of heaven bloom, the star of happiness shines." The saying is carved into the board, around it are hand-painted flowers. There are two hanging eyelets on top. A great gift to move in or as a country house decoration.
