Inspiration for your bathroom

Living ideas for your home

When choosing a color for your bathroom, think about shades that smell of relaxation and calm to create an oasis of peace. You can use warm tones to create a cozy atmosphere that will put you in vacation mode.

Richmond Green Bathroom

The surviving example of this 19th century wallpaper was not found on the walls of a chic terraced house in Richmond, but in a container outside during a renovation in 1989, which is not at all consistent with the quality of this wallpaper. The execution of this delicate Tudor rose is typical of many designs made in the late 19th century in the style of William Morris. Little Greene printed it in two authentic color combinations of the Arts and Crafts movement, three classic color combinations and one modern one with metallic tones.

Our washable Intelligent Matt Emulsion gives ventilated bathrooms the usual uniformity of our classic wall colors and creates an incredibly great look alongside shiny surfaces such as tiles, mirrors, bathroom furniture, fittings and floors.

Bathroom Achillea - Aurora

This was originally just a border, a fragment of which is preserved at Felbrigg Hall, Norfolk; however, the size of the pattern was completely changed. With its shadowy stems and flower heads of yarrow or possibly the locally common swamp sow thistle, this is a classic example of Art Nouveau; the color areas are typical of screen printed designs.

Chocolate Color Bathroom

It is believed that both George Frideric Handel and Benjamin Franklin had their London front doors painted this rich, almost edible shade. Chocolate Color is the most intense color of the SWEET TREATS Collection and is also suitable for interiors. Use it as a warmer alternative where you might previously have considered black, charcoal or a dark blue.

Brighter accents like Marigold or Orange Aurora stand out against a chocolate-colored background, or use it as an exquisite color, around a wall in Arras or Tuscan Red to frame.

Vine bathroom

Vine (ca. 1932) comes from the archives of the Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester and is unmistakably reminiscent of William Morris, the father of the Arts and Crafts movement at the end of the 19th century. An authentic planographic printing technique was used to create this contemporary version, whose blue color combination is very close to the original - despite the poor condition of the background color on the surviving fragment.

The colors fit:

Portland Stone - Dark 157

Elysian Ground Bathroom

In 738, the architect William Kent - known for his inventiveness - designed a small wooden garden house built on stilts in the middle of a pond in the Elysian Fields at Stowe in Buckinghamshire. It was designed by the Italian painter Francesco Sleter, who combined figures, foliage and calligraphy into a complex Chinoiserie style, with this magnificent deep stone color as the background. Color research has shown that this precious structure was painted over at least twice: in the 19th century and again in 1937. After being exhibited for some time in the neighboring Wotton estate and in Ireland, the Chinese House was returned to the Stowe estate and was completely and faithfully restored around 1996 to become.

Wilton bathrooms

A classic damask design with the large pomegranate motifs that were very typical and popular in the mid-18th century. This wallpaper was probably originally a non-woven wallpaper and decorated an English manor house. Non-woven wallpapers were an English specialty and, although they were actually just imitations of expensive textiles, they were expensive to produce and were therefore a striking expression of luxury and social status.

Reverie bathroom

“Reverie” is a classic example of a late twentieth century wallpaper pattern that was itself inspired by the visual language of the previous generation. We can clearly see elements of Henri Rousseau's 1910 painting “The Dream” in this design. As a wallpaper it was included in a book from the 1970s along with around 120 other wallpapers.
