Cavendish Stripe
The design of this wallpaper is based on a 1965 fragment discovered during restoration work at Marlborough House in London's Pall Mall. Although the fragment dates from 1965, the original on which it is based was much older. We've removed the line motif in our interpretation to create a cleaner and more versatile striped wallpaper. Even the strié backgrounds on the wallpapers in this book are created using the trough method and horsehair brushes, while the stripes and gold borders are created using block printing.
