Thames Border
Thames Border is a fascinating recreation of a historic panorama of the British capital published in 1851 by the weekly magazine The London Illustrated News. It is an enlarged reproduction that shows a detailed representation of the buildings and landscape along the Thames at that time. The panorama is hand-drawn and was designed to fit any wall width by using a repeating part.
Normally you would display the original in a ledge height style, but in normal sized rooms it can just as easily be displayed at pedestal or waist height. This makes the panorama a versatile mural that can be adapted to different room sizes and design preferences.
The mural consists of three parts: Part A, Part B and Part C. Part A is 300 cm long and is the repeating part of the panorama. Part B is 100 cm long and part C, which shows the legend, is 40 cm long.
With Thames you get a stunning display of the historic architecture and landscape along the River Thames. It's an excellent way to bring a piece of English heritage into your home while adding a touch of history and culture.
